May blog

dear Readers and bloggers. Been haiving a bit of trouble with PC but I hope all is well now. My last blog was at Christmas which practically ruined me financially as my large family all had to be bought presents. Good time all the same. New news no book out this year, not well last year had an op for gall stones, All well now. New book underway but not yet finished, will be published next year. My new paperback will be out at Christmas (Gordon let your mum know.)

Peter, (partner) has had to have his mum enter a home albiet a lovely home. She is ninety four and at least we know she's safe and well cared for. He is away at the moment and I'm really missing him. He phones every night and tells me how much he misses me, loves me etc. 'Don't tell the mums this they'll think I'm soppy and sentimental.

Family news great I have a new grandson, my son Paul' and his wife Maria's first, a lovely little boy his name is Joseph Paul and I love him to bits.

Speak soon,

Love Iris

Been on holiday with my partner Peter, much looked forward to. Unfortunately it was interrupted by a phone call telling us Peter's mum was in hospital in Scotland and we were at Chichester the other end of Britain so we had a dreadful drive all the way back to Swansea and from there Petr's gone on to Scotland to see to his mum. I'll go and join him next week. My daughter will drive me to Cardiff airport because I'm the sort of person who can't find my way around a Tesco store without getting lost!

Brighter news lots of emails from you and re my new book what about finding titles for me as one of my readers suggested? The book is about ww2 and a girl called Hari who falls in love with the enemy, a lovely german man whose mum is English but who ends up in a prisoner of war camp in Wales called Island Park. Is the love doomed or will love overcome doubt and predjudice?

Hari's friend Kate, a lovely Irish girl gives her all to the young, very young men going to war and gets herseld a sleasy reputation into the bargain. Meryl, Hari's thirteen year old sister is wise for her age and tells her side of the story with her own distinctive voice. 'I think I'm going to die tonight' she says as she sits under the dubious 'safety' of a table. Who lives who dies in the terrible raids that flattened the town of Swansea is a story of j=human lives and loves and the very real fear of never seeing another sunrise.

SUGGEST TITLES PLEASE!
