May blog

dear Readers and bloggers. Been haiving a bit of trouble with PC but I hope all is well now. My last blog was at Christmas which practically ruined me financially as my large family all had to be bought presents. Good time all the same. New news no book out this year, not well last year had an op for gall stones, All well now. New book underway but not yet finished, will be published next year. My new paperback will be out at Christmas (Gordon let your mum know.)

Peter, (partner) has had to have his mum enter a home albiet a lovely home. She is ninety four and at least we know she's safe and well cared for. He is away at the moment and I'm really missing him. He phones every night and tells me how much he misses me, loves me etc. 'Don't tell the mums this they'll think I'm soppy and sentimental.

Family news great I have a new grandson, my son Paul' and his wife Maria's first, a lovely little boy his name is Joseph Paul and I love him to bits.

Speak soon,

Love Iris

Hello friends,

It's Oct. 1st and it's cold and wet here in Swansea. I've done something really silly, I think! I've offered to mind a doggy while my boyfriend goes on hols with his son. Will I be regretting it when dear little Bill wants to creep up to bed with me or does disgusting things to the carpet? Billy is the dog by the way! I thought I'd better make that clear.

I'm getting on with my book, haven't decided on a title yet but I'm sure it'll come to me sooner or later. My agent hasn't been too good, broken arm and smashed shoulder while on hols with the children. She's a real professional though and is back at work even though she is still having trouble with her hand and arm.

I've had loads of lettersl on my e-mail, nice requests for books signed and photo's and things. It's really good to be in touch with readers. When I was young and admirred a writer I had to send them snail mail now it's so easy to be in touch. I was puzzled at first by my PC telling me my website had been visited and there were no letters but then I realised some folk like to have a look but not neccesarily make contact. As I said there's a lot coming in on the email.

I'm off now to have a nice cup of coffee and I can do that with a clear conscience I've done enough work for today.

Keep in touch,

Iris x
